Q. (No microphone.) UGO HUMBERT: Super happy to play against him, always a big match against an amazing player, so it will be interesting.
Q. What has clicked so well for you? UGO HUMBERT: My mindset I think was really good. Today was difficult, because with travel and everything with the final championship match, so, yeah, I was a little bit tired. But, yeah, I was on court, and just play every point a hundred percent, and, yeah, just see what's going on. I was super positive, so at the end it was 3-2, so it's nice.
Q. There are 11 French players in the draw, were at the start of this tournament, what is it about French tennis at the moment? UGO HUMBERT: Yeah, we have a great generation, new generation with Arthur Fils, Arthur Cazaux, we have Luca Van Assche as well, Giovanni Mpetshi, he's playing so good. So it's nice, those guys are really young, with not big experience, because there are, it's only the first year on the ATP Tour, but, I mean, in the two, three years, they will be really good. Maybe if we can have like three or four players in the top 30 it would be nice. Yeah, it's nice for the French tennis fans.
Q. Do you give advice to any of those young players? UGO HUMBERT: Yeah, I have a good relationship with Arthur, because we played the Olympics together, the Davis Cup as well, and I really like this guy, it's incredible to have him for the French tennis. Yeah, he has everything. I played him last week in the final, he played unbelievable during the all week, so, yeah, I'm super happy and super proud of him, so I hope he will continue to improve.
Q. Are you looking forward to playing against Gael? UGO HUMBERT: Yeah, I'm super happy, super happy to play against Gael. It's a good friend of me, I know him since a couple of years, so, yeah, super happy, and it will be a nice match.
Q. One last non-tennis question, are you still enjoying your music, your piano? UGO HUMBERT: Yeah, (laughing) when I have time I play a little bit. Sometimes I travel with my guitar, but I prefer to play piano, because I'm much better. I started piano at the same time as tennis, at five, so I have a good level, and I enjoy so much to play piano when I can.
Q. Do you ever go and find a piano to play and relax and just enjoy yourself away from tennis? UGO HUMBERT: Yeah, it's nice, because you can think about something else. Just, yeah, happy to listen to music, to play some music, to feel it. Yeah, I really enjoy it. My parents forced me to play when I was young, with my sister, and, yeah, it's nice, I'm happy that they forced me, yeah (laughing).
